Young Talent Attracted to Cyberwarfare
Young Talent Attracted to Cyberwarfare
A new niche has been created in the field of weapon development, but this time, it’s virtual.
The new need for protection against cyberwarfare has given rise to thousands of “hacker soldiers” within the Pentagon, CNET reports.
Additionally, almost all of the largest military companies, such as Lockheed Martin and General Dynamics, now have cyber contracts with both military and intelligence agencies.
There are now advertisements running in search of “cyberninjas”, with labs full of computer experts that are only in their 20s and 30s.
Where did this sudden interest in cyberwarfare come from? When did this happen?
Just last Friday, President Obama discussed how cyber wars are “one of the most serious economic and national security challenges we face as a nation,” and with companies like McAfee releasing new spyware detection software, everyday folk and researchers alike must be prepared for attempted attacks.
Now, adding cyberwarfare specialists to the list of personnel involved in electronic warfare, the number of people involved rises to as high as 88,700!
This up and coming field offers more jobs, positions, and innovation to be had.
Grab your armor.
